Inspect an archive before extracting
ZIP & Archive Extractor displays archive entries, distinguishes files from folders and reports file sizes. You can download individual files or download the extracted files together as a new ZIP.
The browser keeps the extracted contents in memory while the page is open. Closing or refreshing the page releases the working archive state from the page session.
Safer archive handling
Archive paths can contain unsafe traversal patterns. The tool normalizes unsafe entry names rather than allowing a ZIP entry to write outside the browser's controlled download workflow.
As with any archive downloaded from the internet, inspect the contents before opening or executing extracted files on your device. The extractor itself does not make an untrusted file safe.
Private browser processing
The supported extraction workflow is local to the browser. The ZIP archive does not need to be uploaded to a My Karya Kit processing server, which can be useful for private project archives and downloaded backups.
