Plan the page order first
The most common merge mistake is an incorrect file order. Rename or review the source files before starting, then arrange them in the sequence expected by the recipient or submission portal.
Merging creates a new document. It does not erase or modify the original PDFs, so keep the source copies when the documents are important or difficult to recreate.
Review the merged PDF
After merging, check the first and last pages and skim the document for missing or duplicated sections. Confirm that the page count matches what you expect and that each source appears in the intended position.
For files that contain forms, annotations, bookmarks or digital signatures, open the final output and verify the features that matter to you. A PDF merge operation should be treated as a document transformation, not a guarantee that every internal feature is unchanged. Keep the original files until the recipient confirms the merged copy is usable.
Keep confidential documents local
My Karya Kit's supported PDF merge workflow is designed to run in the browser, which avoids requiring a Karya Kit processing upload for the selected source files. Your browser and operating system still remain part of the data path, so use the same care you would use with any local document application.
Recommended workflow
- Open PDF Merge and select the source documents.
- Arrange the files in the required order.
- Start the local merge operation.
- Review the output page count and document order.
- Download the merged PDF and retain the originals.
